Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
1. ELIGIBILITY: Must be at least 18-years of age as of August 15, 2007, legal resident of the United States and officially enrolled as a matriculating student at a four-year accredited undergraduate college or university program at a U.S. college or university, or vocational or trade school as of September 1, 2007. Applicants must remain enrolled in an eligible school for at least one year after accepting Scholarsweeps funds to be eligible for the full award.
Void where prohibited or restricted by law. This competition is void in all countries except the United States. Employees of Coty US LLC and its respective affiliated companies, agents, retailers, distributors, suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate families are not eligible to win.
Coty US LLC and its respective affiliated companies, agents, retailers, distributors, suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies are not responsible for supplying applications or scholarship information other than by maintaining the entry form and rules at www.takemeaway.com. Applications will not be mailed, faxed or otherwise directly delivered to interested applicants.
2. INITIAL SUBMISSION AND JUDGING: To enter the competition, complete the official entry form, which is displayed on the sweepstakes entry form page on the CALGON website. You will be asked to provide your name, address and e-mail address, birth date, gender, and marital status. Only online submissions will be accepted.
The sweepstakes begins at 12:01 a.m. EST July 1, 2006 and all entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. EST, June 30, 2007. Limit one entry per person. All subsequent entries will be disqualified.
Three $500 awards will be awarded. Winners will be randomly selected by Madden Preprint Media on or around July 11, 2007. The awards will be administrated by Madden Preprint Media.
A sweepstakes entry is null and void and will be rejected if any part is incorrect, inaccurate or if it contains mechanical, technical, electronic or other errors whether caused by Internet users or by any of the programming associated with the competition. Coty US LLC will not be responsible for any computer, on-line, telephone, technical or human malfunctions. Coty US LLC is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, illegible or postage due entries. Sponsor is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, incomplete, or garbled or delayed computer transmissions.
Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this sweepstakes should viruses, bugs or other causes beyond the control of the sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the competition.
3. FINAL SUBMISSION AND JUDGING: The 3 winners will be contacted on or about July 25, 2007. Winners will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release. All affidavits and releases must be received no later than August 14, 2007. Affidavits and releases will be mailed to Scholarsweeps Entry c/o Madden Preprint Media, 1650 E. Ft. Lowell Rd., Suite 100, Tucson, AZ 85719.
4. PRIZES: Three First Prize winners will receive $500 for college/university expenses.
5. AWARD OF PRIZE AND REDEMPTION: Winners will be notified by electronic mail at the address provided with their entry. Winners will be required to sign and return any applicable forms required by tax authorities and Coty US LLC within 21 days of notification or the prize will be forfeited and awarded to alternate winners chosen as described above. If the prize notification letter is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner chosen as above.
6. PRIZE PAYMENT: The winners' sweepstakes checks will be paid directly to each winner's school. Payment will not be made directly to the winners. Winners must sign an agreement that the money will only be used for tuition & fees, books & supplies, and room & board (only if living on campus) and if the winner terminates her/his enrollment the balance of the scholarship MUST be returned directly to Scholarsweeps c/o Madden Preprint Media, 1650 E. Ft. Lowell Rd., Suite 100, Tucson, AZ 85719. Any balance will not be transferred to another school and winner forfeits right to balance.
In addition, winners must have the college or university she/he will attend or is currently attending send an official completed Verification of Enrollment form to Scholarsweeps Payment c/o Madden Preprint Media, 1650 E. Ft. Lowell Rd., Suite 100, Tucson, AZ 85719. The form will only be considered valid if it bears the institution's official seal or stamp and arrives in a sealed, unbroken envelope.
Upon receiving the enrollment form from the college, university, vocational or trade school, and the signed agreement from the winning student, Maddenmedia will issue a check payable to the school and mail it directly to the school to establish a credit in the name of the student.
7. LIABILITY: In all situations, winners are responsible for following up on all matters relating to his or her Scholarsweeps.
8. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: The prize may not be transferred or assigned. No substitutions or cash redemptions will be made. All applicable federal, state and local taxes on the prize are the winner's sole responsibility. Participants waive the right to assert as a cost of winning any prize any and all costs of verification and redemption of said prize and any liability which might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said prize. The prize will be awarded only if participants comply with all of these rules.
By participating, winners agree to allow Coty US LLC to post their name and entries/essays online as sweepstakes winners without further compensation. Names may be posted without acknowledgement of notification from finalists or winners.
By participating and redeeming the prize, the winners release Coty US LLC, its affiliates and respective directors, officers, employees and agents, including advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability with respect to the prize. Except where prohibited, by accepting the prize the winner agrees to the use of his/her name, address and/or photograph, videotape or any likeness and biographical information for advertising or publicity purposes and to the use of statements made by or attributed to the prize winner relating to Coty US LLC and any and all rights to said use without further compensation. Only the prizes described in these Official Rules will be awarded.
By participating in the sweepstakes, you agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules, and it is your responsibility to ensure that you have so complied. The determination of the winners will be final and binding in all matters relating to this competition.
You may request a list of winners after August 30, 2007 by sending a written request and a self-addressed stamped envelope to: CALGON Scholarsweeps Winners c/o Madden Preprint Media, 1650 E. Ft. Lowell Rd., Suite 100, Tucson, AZ 85719. Scholarsweeps winners will be announced on or about August 31, 2007 at www.takemeaway.com.
